A Troy staple is celebrating 20 years in the Collar City.

Ryan’s Wake was founded in 2005 by Chris Ryan.

It has grown from a modest pub into an expansive venue with “The Flynn Bar,” “The River Bar,” and a riverside deck.

Ryan credits his success to lessons learned from traditional public houses and practicing what he calls “The Golden Rule,” which is that “A true pub is more than a bar, it’s a community space.”
