Troy students get supplies for school
Students in kindergarten through 12th grade in Troy got to pick up free school supplies at a drive.
Nearly 300 students in Troy city schools are all set to start the school year, thanks to generous donations.
The school supply drive at the Troy Public Library was a great success. Long lines of students waited to pick out backpacks, notebooks, markers, and crayons all donated by the Troy community.
“Last year, everything was gone in the first 45 minutes and we had enough for 100 students. So this year, actually, we’ve got three times that amount,” said Carol Roberts of the Troy Public Library.
