Two face drug charges after traffic stop

Two people from Argyle are facing drug charges after a traffic stop.

State Police stopped a vehicle on Feb. 5 around 9 p.m. on County Route 46 in Fort Edward for a traffic violation.

Troopers saw a glass smoking device with drug residue in plain sight.

The driver, 53-year-old Christopher M. Foster, had felony weight narcotics and an illegal collapsable baton. The passenger, 47-year-old Shemariah S. Carlisle, had narcotics, a glass smoking device with drug residue and an open bottle of alcohol.

They were turned over to Washington County Jail pending arraignment.
