Lieutenant Colonel Clarence Dart was a Saratoga Springs native in the group of African American military pilots that flew missions in North Africa and Europe during World War II.
The success of the Tuskegee Airmen helped pave the way for integration of the armed forces.
Dart’s daughter, Cynthia Providence, will share her father’s story during a virtual presentation next week.
It takes place next Thursday, February 20 at 7 p.m. on Zoom. There is a suggested donation of $10.
