Vermont man accused of assaulting family member

A Vermont man went to a Shaftsbury home he was banned from and assaulted someone, police said. A child was also in the home at the time.

It happened early Wednesday morning.

Tyler Toromino, 25, of Bennington once lived with the victim, police said.

He now faces several charges, including domestic assault, burglary, and violating conditions of release.

He’s in jail without bail, and is due back in court on Thursday.
