WAMC shutting down performance arts studio ‘The Linda’

Public radio station WAMC is shutting down its performing arts space, The Linda.

The radio station made the announcement during its “Roundtable” show on Friday.

The space is located in an old bank, across the street from their Central Avenue studio.

WAMC said they plan to launch performances in its place across their listening area, in a project called “WAMC on the Road.”

The Linda will remain open through June.
