Crews were battling several brush fires in the Capital Region on Tuesday, as the warm and dry conditions made it a ripe environment.

The fires included one in the town of Stuyvesant in Columbia County and at Schodack Landing in Rensselaer County.

The state’s burn ban has not yet taken effect. It begins in mid-March and goes until May 15.
