STEM – Local school students participate in future city competition
In our stem 13 report…some middle schoolers from Richard O’Rourke middle school in Burnt Hills are headed to the regional future city competition.

The competition is made up of teams of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders all working to build the best vision of what a city will look like in 100 years.
This year’s theme is climate change.
Of the 17 teams that competed, the cyclosparta group are headed to the regional competition which is happening in January at Sage College in Albany.
The presentation is made up of an essay, a model, a project plan and a presentation.
