13 Days of Christmas: Local teen wants Toys for Tots donations for her birthday

Most kids and even some adults enjoy the gifts and attention that come on their birthday.
For a few years now, one local teenager has been using her special day to help others.
Abby Maloney was born on Christmas Eve.
Ahead of her 11th birthday, she realized that gave her the power to help others who may not be as fortunate to open presents on Christmas Morning.
So instead of a gift for her birthday, the now-8th grader in the Brunswick Central School District asked her friends to donate a toy or book to Capital Region Toys for Tots.
13-year old Abby Maloney continues the tradition of using her Christmas Eve birthday to bring in Toys for Tots donations.
Abby is hosting a donation event by the Christmas tree in Colonie Center all-day on Saturday, December 10. You can donate a toy, book or make a financial donation.
