(518) Musicians on a Mission to Host Fundraiser for Capital City Rescue Mission
Capital City Rescue Mission has served and fed the capital region for decades. However, the holidays can be even more expensive since the organization provides thousands with free holiday meals. Within the last year, the organization has served the community $3 million in meals.
Since the organization does not take any city, state, or federal funds, donations are heavily relied on for its operation.
That’s why (518) Musicians on a Mission will host its annual fundraiser on Sunday so the organization can continue to provide essential services for those in need. The entire day of live music will support the Capital City Rescue Mission.
Erin Harkes stopped by the studio to talk more about (518) Musicians on a Mission and how she has been working with local musicians and Metroland to give back. Last year, the organization raised enough money to serve 2,000 meals.
The event, a cherished tradition in Albany, will take place at the Capital District Irish American Center, located at 375 Ontario Street, Albany, NY, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., and admission is $25. Tickets can be purchased here.
