Accused Lola Saratoga burglars back in court

Accused Lola Saratoga burglars back in court. as Jim Tedisco blasts bail reform law again.

The suspects accused of breaking into and stealing luxury handbags from Lola Saratoga were back in court on Thursday.

Christopher Tyler, Mustafa Lewis-Hampton and Jowan Plummer, all from Washington, D.C., appeared in Saratoga Springs City Court.

The suspects allegedly smashed the store window using a crowbar and stole around $35,000 worth of merchandise.

Tyler and Lewis-Hampton’s cases were adjourned to Sept. 12. NewsChannel 13 reached out to the court to find out about Plummer’s next appearance, but has not heard back.

All three are free pending their next court appearance. Republican Sen. Jim Tedisco once again weighed-in on the fact that they were released with no bail.

“You could hear in the judge’s voice, when they first went before him for the brazen robbery of Lola in Saratoga Springs and again at today’s hearing that he wanted to set bail for these alleged burglars but was not empowered to do so as 49 other states are because of New York’s failed bail law.”

“Now these three suspects, who I’m told have a rap sheet, are again free to possibly commit additional crimes. That’s absurd,” he said.
