Advocates rally against major health care transition for home care workers
Advocates came together Monday to rally against an upcoming health care transition.
New York state is transitioning all CDPAP care through a single private financial organization starting next Tuesday, April 1.
In trying to make the change, there are long wait times, inaccessible online forms, and confusion for thousands of patients, the advocates said. They are demanding the transition be delayed.
So far, there have been concerns over low enrollment, health insurance stability and quality of coverage.
As NewsChannel 13 previously reported, five people were arrested for civil disobedience while rallying against CDPAP transition at the state Capitol earlier this month.
