NYC Chili Heat Tour set
Details affecting local, regional and national news events of the day are provided by the NewsChannel 13 Team, as well as updates on weather and traffic.
In Albany, lawmakers and advocates are giving out chili to bring awareness to the rising cost of heating bills in New York.
The New York Heat Chili Tour starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Honest Weight Coop at Watervliet Avenue.
Supporters say if the New York Heat Act were to be included in this year’s state budget, it would stop the expansion of fracked gas systems and would save the average New Yorker up to $75 a month on utility bills.
