An aggressive dog had to be shot with a Taser in Argyle.

The dog bit a woman on Lick Springs Road several times Wednesday morning, said investigators, and the Taser was needed in order to get the victim out of the home.

The woman was taken to Glens Falls Hospital with serious injuries. She was familiar with the dog before the attack, investigators said.

Animal control was called in for the dog.
