The Chief Financial Officer of the Albany County Airport Authority, Michael Zonsius, has resigned, according to an airport spokesperson.

It comes after Zonsius was placed on administrative leave last month.

Zonsius first started in the role in 2019.

Former Airport CEO Phil Calderone was removed from his position a few months ago, after some controversy over renewing his contract.

This all comes as the airport is in the middle of a major renovation project.
