New hours are now in effect for Albany County wine and liquor stores.
New hours are now in effect for Albany County wine and liquor stores.
As NewsChannel 13 reported last week, legislators approved new rules meant to help alleviate holiday stress, by extending hours for wine and liquor sales during the holiday season.
Most counties allow wine and liquor to be sold from 8 a.m. to midnight, every day, except Sunday, most of the year.
Albany County stores are allowed to be open between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
The change will extend those hours from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., from today’s date through Jan. 7 each year.
