Albany County man headed to prison for sexually explicit pictures of minor

An Albany County man is facing a dozen years in prison for distributing sexually explicit pictures of a minor.
Joshua White, 47, previously admitted that he sent the images to another person over text message. White knew the victim.
When White met with police in 2023, he had child sexual abuse materials on his phone depicting other victims, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

When White met with police in 2023, he had child sexual abuse materials on his phone depicting other victims, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
He was sentenced to 12 ½ years in prison. He must also pay $5,000 restitution and register as a sex offender when he is released.
He also had to give up his phone.
NewsChannel 13 has previously reported that White received photos from Kristy Koldis, of Latham, who was a former guidance counselor at Albany High School and Myers Middle School. She is serving a 15-year prison sentence.
