NewsChannel 13 reached out to the Advance Albany County Alliance to find out why. We were told cost was not the sole issue. The evaluation was based on full responsiveness to the request for proposal, including community engagement, safety and accommodation of a live rail line bordering the building, they said.
As NewsChannel 13 reported on Wednesday, Advance Albany County Alliance voted to enter into negotiations with two Long Island heavy construction companies were voted to tear down the 11-story tall building.
