There will be periodic closures of the Albany County rail trail, starting Wednesday and over the next six weeks.

The closures will be near the Bender Melon Farm Preserve Bridge in New Scotland.

The purpose is so crews can continue to restore the bridge and replace the decking.

The closures will be from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every weekday until the work is done.
