Albany Fire Department Executive Chief Joseph Toomey has worked his last shift, after decades with the department.
A walkout ceremony was held Friday – one day after Toomey marked a 35-year career.
His biggest accomplishment was helping to develop the Albany County Juvenile Fire Setter Program to address fire activity in juveniles, he told NewsChannel 13.
