Albany High student stabbed with scissors, another student in custody
An Albany High School student was stabbed with a pair of scissors on Monday, said police.
An Albany High School student was stabbed with a pair of scissors on Monday and another student is in police custody.
The stabbing stemmed from a fight inside the school, according to police spokesperson Megan Craft. The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
The school implemented a lockdown at about 1:20 p.m. after a fight between students. Emergency personnel transported a student to Albany Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries and Albany
Police took another student into custody, according to Principal Jodi Commerford.
The lockdown was changed at 1:45 p.m. to a hold-in-place with movement throughout the building limited and lifted at about 2:45 p.m.
