A kindergartener hit by a large tree branch outside Montessori Magnet School in Albany was headed home Wednesday, the school said.

A kindergartener hit by a large tree branch outside Montessori Magnet School in Albany was headed home Wednesday, the school said.

She will be in a wheelchair while she continues to receive occupational and physical therapy.

A large branch fell and hit the student shortly after class dismissal on Friday.

The young girl was taken to Albany Medical Center.

Crews have been removing the trees in the area where this happened, the principal said. The school is also collecting donations, which will go to the family.
