Albany man allegedly attacked jewelry store worker with knife

An Albany man is accused of entering a jewelry store in January and attacking an employee with a knife.
Daytwaun Minter, 40, allegedly entered Nor Jewelers on Central Avenue on Jan. 28. He swung a large knife and slashed an employee in the hand, according to the Albany County District Attorney's Office. The employee needed immediate medical treatment.

Minter was arraigned Friday in Albany County Court on charges of second-degree assault, attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Bail was set at $25,000 cash, $50,000 bond or $75,000 partially secured bond.
He faces up to 15 years in state prison if convicted.
