Albany man charged in disturbing puppy abuse case
An Albany man has been charged with striking a puppy.
Investigators say it happened on West Street Oct. 20 and Nov. 7, causing the 1 ½ year old Boston Terrier to yelp and screech in pain.
Avalon Rampersant, 23, was arrested Thursday. He is now charged with two counts of animal cruelty. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
The dog was sent to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
