Albany man charged in domestic-related stabbing
An Albany man is accused of stabbing a man during a domestic incident last month.
It happened on Dec. 12 around 2:20 p.m. Donald Norris-Boyd, 30, is accused of forcing his way into the victim’s apartment at Townsend Park Apartments on Central Avenue. He was armed with a knife and stabbed the person in the chest, Albany Police said.
The 57-year-old victim was treated on scene and taken to Albany Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
Norris-Boyd was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 7 after an investigation by the Albany Police Department’s Children and Family Services Unit.
He was charged with attempted murder, burglary and criminal possession of a weapon.
Norris-Boyd was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and sent to Albany County Jail.
