An Albany man is facing weapons charges after police recovered a loaded assault rifle.

An Albany man is facing weapons charges after police recovered a loaded assault rifle.

Detectives stopped Peter Addison, 37, around 1 p.m. Tuesday in the area of 900 Lark Drive as part of an ongoing investigation.

That led them to a home on the 100 block of Clinton Avenue near South Swan Street, where police found the weapon, they said.

Addison was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and sent to Albany County Jail.
