Albany man indicted in stabbing of woman on Halloween

An Albany man has been indicted in connection with a stabbing last Halloween.

Jonathan Bonaparte, 33, is accused of stabbing a 40-year-old woman in the neck on South Pearl Street. He then ran away from the scene, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.

Bonaparte was indicted on a charge of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He is currently being held at Albany County Jail.

Bonaparte is due back in court on Jan. 29.
