An Albany man has been sentenced for his role in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Jonathan Munafo will spend 33-months in federal prison.
Munafo, 36, punched a police officer twice and stole the officer’s riot shield out of his hands, according to court documents.
He also damaged a Capitol building window by hitting it 13 times with two different poles, federal prosecutors said.
Munafo also faces 36 months of supervision when released, and must pay $2,000 in restitution.
