A community march was held in Albany on Monday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
A few dozen people braved the cold to march from Madison Avenue to the statue of Dr. King across from Lincoln Park.
The march was followed by speeches from city and state leaders.
Martin Luther King Jr.’s march began six decades ago, but some question if we’re constantly moving forward. The Supreme Court upended affirmative action, voting rights are being challenged on the national level and Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley did not mention slavery when asked by a voter what caused the Civil War.
Hear what people at the march said about how King’s dream resonates now by watching the video of Tessa Bentulan’s story.
