Albany PD: Narcotics and handgun recovered during search warrant
Albany Police say they recovered a loaded handgun and narcotics during a search warrant on Cortland Place on Thursday.
Demitris Moses, 46, and Ericka Olgetree, 35, were taken into custody, said police.
Albany Detectives from their Community Response Unit and the United States Marshalls executed a search warrant at a home in the area of Cortland Place and Spring Street as part of an ongoing investigation.
Authorities say a loaded .380 handgun and a quantity of powder cocaine were recovered.
Moses was charged with the following:
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
Olgetree was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Both were arraigned in the Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
