Albany Police investigating shooting near First and Lark Streets
The Albany Police Department says they are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning in the area of First Street and Lark Street, leaving one person in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers responded to the area around 3:55 a.m. for reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, they discovered a large group of people in the street, which they dispersed the group and began investigating, said police.
Police were notified shortly after the call that Albany Medical Center had a 29-year-old enter the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his hand.
Through investigation, police believe that the victim was shot during the incident at First and Lark Streets.
