The Albany Police Department says they are investigating a stabbing that happened early Sunday morning in the area of Central Avenue and Henry Johnson Boulevard.

Officers responded to the scene around 3:05 a.m.

Upon arrival, police located a 21-year-old male with a stab wound to his arm, who was treated on scene and taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police add that a 24-year-old female was also treated on the scene for a laceration to her mouth from being punched.

Authorities say preliminarily, it seems there was a confrontation between the two victims and the suspect prior to their injuries.
