Albany Police say they arrested and charged Dominica Ghilani, 31, in connection with a stabbing that happened on the 300 block of Colonie Street on Friday night.
The stabbing happened around 7:00 p.m.
Officers responded to the area of Colonie Street and Lark Street for reports of a stabbing, when they discovered a 37-year-old male with a stab wound to his back.
They tell us that the suspect went back inside the residence once police arrived, and eventually exited once police gave several commands to vacate the residence. Ghilani was then taken into custody.
Police believe the incident stemmed from a dispute between neighbors, resulting in Ghilani stabbing the victim.
The victim was treated on scene and taken to Albany Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.
Police say Ghilani has been charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Ghilani is scheduled to be arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court Saturday morning.
