June is Pride Month, and the city of Albany is getting a one-day head start.

Mayor Kathy Sheehan and the LGBTQ+ community from across the community raised the city’s Pride Flag at City Hall.

The city also planned a Pride Month kickoff block party Friday evening in the parking lot next to Waterworks Pub on Central Avenue, with music, food and local vendors.
