Albany woman indicted in retail theft scheme faces another charge

An Albany woman indicted in a massive retail theft scheme is facing an additional charge.

North Greenbush police said Zamaria Williams, 22, stole more than $1,000 of perfume and makeup from Ulta Beauty on May 6 of this year.

Williams was arrested on Oct. 10 and charged with grand larceny. She was arraigned in North Greenbush Town Court and released to return to court at a later date.

Williams had previously been charged with several counts of grand larceny in connection with the Dick’s Sports Goods, Kohl’s and Ulta Beauty.

Williams and her co-defendant, Winter Andross, would then allegedly sell the stolen goods on Facebook Marketplace. A source tells NewsChannel 13 that the thefts totaled more than $50,000.

Both pleaded not guilty in Albany County Court earlier this month and were released to the supervision of the Albany County Probation Department.
