The woman who was shot in the head on Christmas morning has died from her injuries, Albany Police said Tuesday.

At around 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 25, officers responded to a residence on the 700 block of State Street for reports of a shooting. They found 23-year-old Sky Lemmons-Dixon with a gunshot wound to her head.
She was treated on scene and transported to Albany Medical Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
