DA: Retail theft, bail reform linked
Details affecting local, regional and national news events of the day are provided by the NewsChannel 13 Team, as well as updates on weather and traffic.
According to the indictments, the women would steal merchandise from area stores, including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kohl’s, and Ulta Beauty, and then pawn them off on others who would sell them on Facebook Marketplace.
A source told NewsChannel 13 the thefts totaled more than $50,000, which is more than enough to warrant grand larceny charges.
The women were released on supervision of the Albany County Probation Department.
