A 19-year-old man has been arrested after police said he let a 16-year-old Amsterdam girl leave high school and travel with him outside the state.
Antonio Valls, of Amsterdam, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The girl voluntarily left Amsterdam High School on March 27, and left her phone behind. Investigators followed up numerous tips and tracked the pair to New York City, New Jersey and Delaware before they were caught on March 30 in the area of New Milford, Pennsylvania.
The juvenile was brought to the Pennsylvania State Police station in Gibson and reunited her with her guardians.
