An Amsterdam man was arrested in connection with a stabbing last week.

Adan D. Guzman-Rodriguez, 23, allegedly stabbed a person in the early morning hours of Aug. 15. The victim walked into St. Mary’s Hospital emergency room with multiple stab wounds and cuts to the head, Amsterdam Police said.

The victim was treated and released.

Investigators located Guzman-Rodriguez and arrested him later that day. Police released information about the arrest on Tuesday, Aug. 20.

Guzman-Rodriguez was charged with attempt murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and sent to Montgomery County Jail without bail.
