Amsterdam man indicted in 2 Saratoga County robberies
An Amsterdam man was indicted Friday in connection with the robbery of two Saratoga County stores in September.
Daniel P. McKay II, 40, was arrested on Sept. 3 after police said he threatened employees at Ben & Jerry’s with a weapon but didn’t show one. He then is accused of taking cash from the register and running from the store, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said.
McKay then allegedly committed another robbery at the Stewart’s Shops on Route 9 in Malta.
McKay was arraigned in Saratoga County Court on charges of first-degree robbery, third-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny and petty larceny.
