An Amsterdam man is dead after crashing his pickup truck into a tractor-trailer.

The crash happened just before 7 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 on Route 67 in Amsterdam. Timothy D. Kline, 25, was traveling west, when he entered the eastbound lane in front of the tractor-trailer, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was unable to avoid crashing into Kline’s truck, investigators said.

Emergency crews arrived on scene and tried to save him. However, Kline died at the scene.

The tractor-trailer driver, J.B. Hunt Transportation, and witnesses are cooperating.
