Amtrak taking blame for flooding at Colonie baseball field

A major company is now taking some of the blame for that sinkhole that opened up at a baseball field in Colonie.

Amtrak says it’s working to repair its infrastructure from Monday’s washout.

The reason Amtrak is involved is because the sinkhole started next to their train tracks and trickled its way down the hill onto one of the Cook Park baseball fields.

Amtrak runs trains along the entire back section of the park.

As we reported, those fields were completely underwater from the flooding.

Colonie Little League board member, Tim Fort, says it does look a lot better but there is still work to be done.
