Amtrak trains will bypass Schenectady this weekend
Amtrak trains will bypass Schenectady this weekend and there will be delays heading west for repair work.
To accommodate track work being performed between Niagara Falls and Albany, Lake Shore Limited, Empire Service and Maple Leaf schedules will be adjusted. Schedule times listed on Amtrak.com have been updated to reflect these changes.
Trains 49/449, which normally operate between New York/Boston and Chicago, will detour bypassing Schenectady with no alternate transportation provided.
Trains 48/448, which normally operate between Chicago and New York/Boston, will bypass Schenectady with no alternate transportation provided.
Train 64, which normally operates between Toronto and New York, will be suspended between Niagara Falls and Albany with no alternate transportation provided.
Train 281, which normally operates between New York and Niagara Falls, will bypass Schenectady with no alternate transportation provided.
Train 283, which normally operates between New York and Niagara Falls will terminate at Albany with no alternate transportation provided.
Trains are subject to 25 to 30-minute delays through Monday.
