Arrest made after man failed to notify change of address as sex offender

Leroy Prosser III, 52, of Marcy was arrested on Friday after failing to notify authorities of a change of address within 10 days, as required as a result of being a sex offender (class D felony), said the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say Prosser allegedly moved from his prior residence on June 9, 2023. The charge was upgraded to a class D felony due to a previous conviction.

He was arraigned in Saratoga County Court and remanded to the custody of the state pending further action.
