A man is recovering after he was allegedly stabbed by his roommate in Valatie.

The incident happened at 3033 Main Street around 7 p.m. Saturday, New York State Police said.

The victim, Chris Dugan, 49, was taken to Albany Medical Center and is expected to survive.

Robert Krein, 23, was arrested and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Krein was released on probation.
