Arrest made in Albany shots fired incident

An Albany man is accused of firing a gun at a car with someone inside.

The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. Saturday near First Street and Henry Johnson Boulevard, police said.

Michael Johnson, 38, fled the scene, said police, and a loaded 9mm gun was found nearby. He was quickly arrested, and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

There are no reported injuries.
