Arrest made in Clifton Park Stewart’s Shop burglary

32-year-old Shaun A. Sheriff of Ballston Lake was arrested on June 27 in connection to a burglary that happened at the Longkill Road Stewart’s Shop in Clifton Park, said the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded to the burglary report at the Stewart’s Shop on June 24 at 7:25 a.m.

Sheriff was charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny.

The Sheriff’s Office says he is accused of entering and remaining unlawfully within the building with the intent to commit a crime.

Authorities say he is also charged with stealing cigarettes from the Stewart’s Shop.

The Sheriff’s Office says he was already incarcerated in the Saratoga County Jail on a separate burglary charge at the time of the arrest.

Sheriff is scheduled to appear in Clifton Park Town Court on a later date for both cases.
