Saratoga Sheriff’s: Arrests made in Schuylerville stabbing
Two people are facing charges in connection to a stabbing in Schuylerville. A third person was charged for his alleged behavior during one of the arrests.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested Ryan Danaher, Ruthann Danaher and Kevin Relyea on Friday.
Sheriff’s deputies said that Ryan Danaher stabbed someone in the neck with a knife two weeks ago in Schuylerville.
He was arrested in Queensbury and is in the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.
Sheriff’s deputies said they arrested Ruthann Danaher for helping Ryan avoid being arrested.
Relyea was arrested after police said he drove toward deputies after they were trying to arrest Ruthann Danaher.
They are facing the following charges:
- Ryan M. Danaher: first-degree assault (class B felony), third-degree criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree (class D felony)
- Ruthann E. Danaher: second-degree hindering prosecution (class E felony)
- Kevin T. Relyea: first-degree reckless endangerment (class D felony), resisting arrest (class A misdemeanor)
Ruthann Danaher and Relyea were arraigned in Milton Town Court.
Danaher was released on her own recognizance and is due back in Saratoga Town Court at a later date. Relyea was released on his own recognizance.
