Assemblyman Robert Smullen says his son has died 13 days after he was hit by a car in Niskayuana. Smullen posted on Facebook saying “AJ’s fight is over, please pray for his soul in Heaven.”

AJ was hit back on February 22nd in front of Bellevue Women’s Hospital. The Assemblyman says AJ was playing with some friends when the crash happened. The teen was being treated for a brain injury at Albany Medical Center since the crash.

Smullen represents the 118th Assembly District, which is made up of all of Hamilton County and parts of Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, and Oneida Counties.
