Man arrested for second time in one week

A Ballston Lake man is arrested on burglary charges for the second time in less than a week.

A Ballston Lake man was arrested twice over a week on burglary charges.

State Police received a complaint from a Clifton Park business on Monday reporting a break-in the previous night.

The investigation determined that Shaun A. Sheriff, 32, entered the closed business without permission during the early morning hours Monday, police said. He allegedly damaged property and stole items.

Police found Sheriff walking in the area of Clifton Country Road in Clifton Park.

Sheriff was charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief and criminal possession of stolen property. He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Clifton Park Town Court on June 27.

Sheriff was arrested the previous week on June 13 for allegedly stealing money from another Clifton Park business in the early hours of June 10. He returned to the business on June 12 and stole several items, according to police. A Saratoga County sheriff’s deputy found him outside the business on June 13 and arrested him.
